Yield Management RevPAR setup guide

Configure your RMS Cloud Yield Management extension in four steps after purchase.

After purchasing the Yield Management RevPAR Extension and connecting your RMS Cloud API credentials inside your Cloudrms account, follow the steps below to complete the setup.

Step 1: map the RMS Cloud room types

In your Cloudrms account, go to Yield Management → Room types. The module automatically imports your room type list through the RMS Cloud API. Review the imported types and confirm that each is labelled correctly. If RMS Cloud returns room types with internal codes rather than readable names, you can apply display labels from this section.

Step 2: select the rate plans to optimise

Yield Management asks you to indicate the RMS Cloud rate plans it is allowed to modify. Open Yield Management → Rate plans. Your RMS Cloud rate plans appear (imported via the API). Tick the plans you want the module to send recommendations to. As a starting point, only select your BAR (Best Available Rate) — you can extend to other plans once the first recommendations are validated.

Step 3: configure the recommendations

Under Yield Management → Settings, configure: Look-ahead window (number of days ahead for which recommendations are generated — 90 days by default); Occupancy thresholds (the occupancy rate at which the module suggests rate increases or decreases — default: increase above 70%, decrease below 40%); Maximum rate delta (maximum change in % per recommendation — 15% by default); Rate floor (the absolute minimum rate the module can recommend per room type — always fill in).

Step 4: activate the recommendations and choose the push mode

Choose between two push modes: Manual approval — each daily recommendation appears in your dashboard and must be approved before being sent to RMS Cloud. Auto-push — approved recommendations are sent to RMS Cloud automatically, without a daily sign-in. Start with manual approval to verify the recommendation relevance before switching to auto-push.

Tracking performance

The Yield Management dashboard shows: today's recommendations (approved, rejected, pending); the rates sent to RMS Cloud; and ADR vs forecast. Review the dashboard weekly during the first month. If recommendations regularly conflict with your pricing judgement, adjust the thresholds from step 3 rather than rejecting recommendations one by one.
